Weather: 14 degree C (day), 11 degree C (evening)
Frosts & ice plus Jin clear rivers with evening temps below 0.c have been the norm over the last couple of weeks here in Turangi. Today welcomed light rain with balmy overcast skies envelope the central north island Taupo and Turangi at present.
This weather change bringing very light rain to the Turangi area and Lake Taupo catchment is certainly what the river fly fisherman have been waiting for here in Turangi as they know this will stimulate another fresh run of fantastic eating Rainbow and Brown trout from Lake Taupo up all our spawning rivers.
Good fishing reports continue to come in from anglers fly fishing the stream mouths around Lake Taupo.
